☆ Parallelogram law of vector addition.

Statement》If two vector be represented in magnitude and direction by the sides of parallelogram taken in order then their diagonal of that parallelogram gives the resultant.

If any two vectors acting at a point are represented in magnitude and direction by the two adjacent sides of a parallelogram that is drawn from a point, then the resultant of the two vectors are represented by magnitude and the direction of the diagonal of the parallelogram dream from the same point.

So resultant of vectors A and B = √A²+B²+2ABcos a

And if the resultant R of the vector subtends an angle C with vector A ,then

Tan C =B sin a/A+B cos a
