✴Actually Stars don't twinkle but they appears to be like that.

The reasons are :

✔❄ Stars when viewed from Open field region appear to twinkle a lot more than stars right above sky it's due to REFRACTION .

✔❄When light from a distant source passes through our turbulent atmosphere, it undergoes refraction many times. When we finally perceive this light from a star, it appears to be twinkling! This is because some of the light rays reach us directly and some bends away from and toward us they appear Twinkling

OR

✔❄When the light starts entering our atmosphere it goes undergoes refraction as the refractive index as the density varies vertically. Due to the continuous changes in the refractive index of every space the star appear to be twinkling.

OR

✔❄The movement of air in the atmosphereof Earth causes the starlight to get slightly bent as it travels from the distant star through the atmosphere down to us on the ground. This means that some of the light reaches us directly and some gets bent slightly away. To our eyes, this makes the star seem to twinkle.

✔❄When the light passes through moving material. A star will appear to twinkle when viewed from the Earth's surface. The light is bent this way and that as it moves through whirling pockets of air in the Earth's atmosphere. The scientific term for twinkling is scintillation. Stars do not scintillate when viewed from a spacecraft above Earth's atmosphere. There is not enough material in space to refract the star's light.
