The local self government of the Indian federal government system is one of the most important components of the whole Indian governing structure.

Achievements:

1) This made the allover governing system a lot more easier.

2) This also helped for the rural development in our country.

Difficulties:

1)The internal communications of these local governments are still not that efficient.

2)The local communities especially the rural communities are often non-cooperative with these local governments due to many reasons.
