Explain two different methods of drawing square of area 13 square centimethes square
Answers
2 different method explained using Pythagorus
Step-by-step explanation:
square of area 13 square centimetres.
=> Side of square = √13 cm
13 = 3² +2²
Lets draw a straight line PQ of (2 + 3) 5cm with a Point A on it 3 cm from P
PA = 3 cm QA = 2cm
Draw at P & Q on PQ
draw at 1 PD = 2cm & QB = cm
Now join AB & AD
Now AB = AD = √13 cm & Perpendicular to each other
Now Draw on AD & AB & Extend them till they cut at C Hence ABCD square with Side-√13 cm (Area 13 cm²) is
ready
Case 2 7²-6² = 13
Draw a Line PA = 6 cm
Draw Lat A on PA
Then Using compass of Length 7 cm from P Cut Perpendicular from A at D
we get AD = 213 cm
Now Extend PA line
& Extend line DA such that DQ = 6 cm
Now from point Q Using compass draw 7 cm arc to Cut Extended PA line at B
we get AB = √13 cm
Now Draw at AB & AD & extend them to meet at C
We get ABCD Square Side-√13 cm (Area 13 cm²)
