All living things need food to live. Plants manufacture their own food by the process of photosynthesis. Animals, on the other hand, depend on plants and other animals for their food

a. Autotrophic nutrition
b. Heterotrophic nutrition.

In Autotrophic nutrition food is prepared by the organism themselves.

While in heterotrophic nutrition, they have to depend on other heterotrophs or in Autotrophs for their food.
