1) If we put some glycerine or the nail polish remove on our palm, our palm seems to be cold. This is due to the evaporation.This is because glycerine gets absorbs the heat of our hand and gets evaporated and evaporation causes cooling.
2)Also in earthen pot (matka) if we put the water inside it and cover it with a wet cloth and leave it, the water from the cloth gets evaporated and the cloth by gaining heat from the surroundings and becomes cooled up which cools up the water.
3) Also in air coolers, the material called khas is regularly applied with water by the pump of the cooler and this soaked water by the khas is evaporated by the gaining heat from the surroundings and gets evaporated leaving the cooling effect on the khas and giving us a nice and pleasant cooling effect.
