Answer:

1. Indigestion

Our stomach produces hydrochloric acid which helps in digesting the food without harming the stomach. Sometimes, excess hydrochloric acid is produced in the stomach which causes indigestion. In order to cure it, we take bases called 'Antacids'. These mild bases help in neutralizing the excess acid in the stomach.

Example of antacid is:

Milk of Magnesia. It contains a base called magnesium hydroxide which helps in curing indigestion.

2.Ant's sting

When an ant stings a person, it injects a liquid containing formic acid into the skin which causes burning pain. By rubbing a mild base called baking soda solution (or calamine solution) on the stung area, it cancels the affect of the acid by neutralizing it and gives relief. Calamine solution contains a base called zinc carbonate.

hope it helps
