HEY MARK ME AS BRAINLIEST

Situation 1 :

When an ant bites you it injects formic acid into your body, so we apply baking soda or lacto calamine lotion containing zinc to neutralise the acid.

Situation 2:

Sometimes two walls of your stomach reduce too much hydrochloric acid causing indigestion. So we take antacids containing bases magnesium hydroxide to neutralise the acid

Answer:

Here gets your answer for the question

Explanation:

The acid is neutralised by taking a tablet (antacids) containing calcium carbonate, aluminium or sodium hydrogencarbonate. Ant sting: When you are stung by an ant, the burning sensation on your skin is caused by methanoic acid. You can neutralise the acid by rubbing a dock leaf on the wound.

that’s an interesting one. well…an obvious example is the neutralization of excess stomach acid by alkaline over-the-counter medications such as “Tums” (calcium carbonate), milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide), and others.

the essential reaction of chemical leavening agents, such as “baking soda” and “baking powder”, is a neutralization reaction of a weak acid with a carbonate salt, producing bubbles of carbon dioxide that give lightness and texture to numerous baked goods.

the reaction used to “scrub” flue gases in the burning of coal is a neutralization reaction. sulfur in coal produces, upon combustion of the coal, the gas sulfur dioxide, which is a Lewis acid. spraying the exhaust gases from combustion with an alkaline medium, such as a slurry of calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate, yields sulfite salts by a neutralization reaction.
