there are mainly 2 types of clauses

independent clause

dependent clause

independent clause-an independent clause functions on its own to make a meaningful sentence.ex-he is a wise man.

dependent clause-the subordinate do the work of connecting dependent clause to another clause to complete the sentence. ex-wife I know the man who stole the watch.
