CHEMICAL COORDINATION IN PLANTS:
the movement of plant in response to various stimuli is called tropism some of the types of tropism are
Phototropism :light
Geotropism : gravity
Hydrotropism :water
Thermotropism: touch
Chemotropism : chemical

TYPES OF PLANT HARMONES OR GROWTH REGULATORS:
five main types of growth regulator which can be classified under two categories
1) Plant growth promoters
eg: Auxins , Gibberellin, Cytokinins
2) Plant growth inhibitor
eg: abscisic acid , ethylene

FUNCTIONS:
⏩Promote cell division ,cell enlargement, elongation and the cell differentiation
⏩Induce photo tropic movement of the shoot system
⏩Initiate the development of the roots and flowers and fruits
⏩Control the falling of leaf and flower and fruits
⏩ Induce parthenocarpy (development of seed from flower without fertilization )
⏩Break the dormancy of seeds and buds
⏩Delay ageing of leaves
⏩Control the opening and closing of stomata
