Answer : There are three types of plastids ... leucoplasts , chromoplasts and chloroplasts .

Leucoplasts : Leucoplasts are involved in the synthesis and storage of various kinds of food in the form of starch , oils and proteins .

chromoplasts : Give colours to flowers and fruits which attract insect for pollination .

Chloroplasts : These are the 'kitchens of the cell '. Each chloroplasts is bounded by two membranes . it shows two distinct regions .
