In urban areas water is used for many purposes which include :

1) Domestic use

2) Industrial use

3) Commercial use.

From this we can see that a lot of water is needed in urban areas.

For instance industries need a lot of water which is used to manufacture goods, clean machines, cool machines, general cleanliness etc.

For commercial purposes, water is used in car wash and also in hospitals.
