Direct proportion :-

If one number increases ,so does the other it is called Direct proportion.

Also called as DIRECT VARIATION .

Example : our age and height .

Inverse proportion :-

If one number increases , the other decreases it is called as Indirect proportion.

Also called as INVERSE VARIATION.

example :relationship between time spent goofing off in class and your grade on the midterm. The more you goof off, the lower your score on the test.

Variation :-

A change or slight difference in condition, amount, or level, typically within certain limits.

\red{ \leadsto} If the values of two quantities depend on each other in such a way that a change in one quantity results in corresponding change in other, therefore if the ratio between the two variables remains constant, it is said to be in direct variation.

⚛---------------------------------------------⚛

Direct Variation : - If two quantities a and b vary with each other in such a manner that the ratio a/b remains constant and is positive, then we say that a and b vary directly with each other or a and b are in direct variation.
