Static, sliding, and rolling happens on a solid surface, whereas fluid happens in a liquid or gas.
Static Friction: Static friction functions on items when they are relaxing on a solid surface. E.g. If you are walking from your house to a birthday party (you shouldn't in this pandemic), there is static friction between your shoes (or slippers, sandals, boots, etc.) and the path (or trail, hallway, passageway, etc.) you are walking on each time you place your foot down.
Sliding Friction: Sliding friction functions on items when they are sliding (not rolling) over a solid surface. This friction can be very useful. E.g. You use the friction when you write with a pencil. Its lead easily moves across the paper you are writing on, however, there's just enough friction in the middle of the pencil and paper to leave a slight mark.
Rolling Friction: Rolling friction functions on items when they are rolling (not sliding) over a surface. Unlike static and sliding friction, it is very weak. This friction applies to cars, trucks, skateboards, scooters, etc.
Fluid Friction: Fluid friction functions on items that flow through fluids. This includes liquids and gases. E.g. If you've ever tried to shove your unclasped hand through the water in a tub (or pool, pond, lake, etc.), then you've experienced this friction. You should have felt the resistance of the water.
