Answer:

The process in which new plants are grown from the old parts of another plant like roots, shoots and leaves, without involving any reproductive organ, is termed as vegetative propagation. Answer:

vegitative propagation is a type of asexual reproduction in which new plants are produced from roots ,stem and buds.since reproduction is through the vegitative parts of the plant it is known as vegitative propagation

advantages of vegitative propagation

the production of plants by vegitative propagation have the following advantages:

I) the new plants produced by vegitative propagation, takes much less time to grow and bear flowers as compared to plants grown. from seeds

II) the new plants produced by vegitative propagation, exactly resembles the parent plant .so all the desirable features of the parent plant will be present in the new plant

III) plant propagated vegitatively usually needs less attention than plants grown from seeds

examples of vegitative propagatio = roots :sweet potato

stem: rose

leaves : bryophyllum
