VIJAY NAGAR --->City of Victory

It is a great ruined city in Southern India and also the name of empire ruled first from the city and later from Penukonda (in present day Southwestern Andhra Pradesh state ) between 1336 and about 1614. The site of the city on the Tungabhadra river is now partly occupied by the village of Hampi in eastern Karnataka state.The ruins of Hampi were designed a UNESCO World Heritage sitein 1986.

BAHMANI KINGDOM ----> also called bhamanid empire.

The bhamanid sultanate was a Muslim state of the Deccan in the South India and one of the major medieval indian kingdoms. It was the first independent Muslim kingdoms in South India . The kingdom later split into five offshoots that were collectively known as the Deccan sultanate. The last remnant of the Bhamanid sultanate was defeated and destroyed in the 1520 battle of Raichur by the Vijaynagar empire.
