Weiss theory of ferromagnetism. To explain the phenomenon of ferromagnetism, Weiss proposed a hypothetical concept of ferromagnetic domains. He postulated that the neighboring atoms of the ferromagnetic materials, due to certain mutual exchange interactions, from several number of very small regions, called domains.
