Explain what aerobic respiration and fermentation are different
Answers
Q. Explain why aerobic respiration and fermentation are different.
Answer:-
Respiration :- The oxidative breakdown of organic molecules to produce energy is known as respiration.
There is two type of respiration:-
Aerobic respiration →Those respiration which occurs in the presence of oxygen is called aerobic respiration.
It occurs in most of the living organism except some fungi and bacteria.
The reaction can be written as follows:-
The products of aerobic respiration are :- Carbon dioxide, water and Energy.
Fermentation :- It is the anaerobic breakdown of organic material in absence of oxygen to produce ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide is known as fermentation.
It occurs in fungi and some bacterias.
It occurs in fungi and some bacterias. The energy released is only 2 ATP .
It occurs in fungi and some bacterias. The energy released is only 2 ATP .Very less in comparison of aerobic respiration.
Answer
Aerobic cellular respiration is the type of respiration in which the organism utilizes oxygen for the break down of carbohydrates, thus releasing energy.
Aerobic respiration takes place in human beings
