The Four R's are

REFUSE : Refuse to receive or give gifts, food items and clothes in bags or containers that increase non-biodegradable waste.

REDUCE : Produce less garbage. Use jute bags instead of plastic and paper bags for shopping.

REUSE : Glass bottles and containers can be reused. Donate books, toys and clothes to people who need them.

RECYCLE : Give away items that can be recycled to ragpickers or kabadiwala. Things made of tin, glass, plastic, etc. can be sent to factories where they will be transformed into new products.
