Explain what energy changes are involved when a woman drops a glass from certain height

When a body is dropped from a certain height, its potential energy gradually changes into kinetic energy. On reaching the ground, the whole of its potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy. But when the ball strikes the ground, the kinetic energy is converted into sound, light and heat.

as glass is in tje hand of women its potential energy is conserved but it would drop then this energy change in to kinetic energy which is given by

1/2MV²

here M is mass of glass and V is velocity by which it drop
