Receptor-mediated endocytosis (RME),also called clathrin mediated endocytosis, is a process by which cells absorb metabolites, hormones,other proteins-by the inward budding of plasma membrane vesicles containing proteins with receptor sites specifies to the molecules being absorbed (endocytosis)
