Explain what happens to the molecular motion and energy of 1 kg of water at 273K when it is changed into ice at same temperature. How is the latent heat of fusion related to the energy exchange that takes place during this change of state.

At 273k molecular motion of 1kg water become slow...and when it converted into ice there is negligible molecular motion...

1kg of water at 273k has 3.34 Γ—10^6kg/j less latent heat than 1 kg of ice at the same temperature
