when anhydrous cacl2 is exposed to atmosphere being unhydrated or lacking he water of crysrallization absorbs water vapour from the atmospher

Anhydrous calcium chloride is Hygroscopic in nature. 

Hygroscopic substances are those substances which absorb or adsorb water.
These substances do not change their state, only attract the water molecules from the surroundings! Therefore, hygroscopic substances are kept in air tight containers.

So, if anhydrous calcium chloride is exposed to the atmosphere for abut two days...there will be change in volume of the substance but the physical state won't change.
