Explain what happens when dry hydrogen is passed over strongly heated lead 2 oxide

IF HYDROGEN GAS WILL passed over heated oxide (cuo) the black coating on the surface turn into brown as a reverse reaction take place and copper is obtained the hydrogen is gaining oxygen and its begin oxiseid . in other words one react oxidied while the other get reduced
