symbiotic relationship is a type of relation seen i between two organisms in which both the partners complement each other.

eg : nitrogen fixing bacteria called RHIZOBIUM  which lives in the root nodules of leguminous plants . these bacteria helps in the convertion of atmospheric nitrogen into consumable form and fix it in the soil and is absorbed by plants ,whereas the plant provides food and sheltre for the bacterium.

e.g. lichens - this are combination of a fungi and algae .

the question which is asked is pollution indicator , the lichens are pollution indicator i.e. they don't grow in polluted area.
