Shadow is on the side of the object that is further from the light source. The proximity of the object creating the shadow to the light source determine the relative size of the shadow.

an opaque object comes in the path of light black patches of one on the ground actually this is a shadow of that obscure object we see our Shadow when we move in opposite direction of our source of light our Shadow become cleanly on moving ahead ..
