Explain what Shaw means when he says that capitalism has spread

Capitalism is defined as the system whereby a certain country's means of production be it industry or trade are owned by individuals or private owners for profit and capital accumulation.

Therefore Shaw simply means that the system that aims at making huge profits through private ownership is a state of greediness and anarchic since the individuals who do not own the means of production are disadvantaged by the system by receiving peanut wages.
