17/30
=17/(2x3x5)
Since there is 3 in denominator so, the given fraction is non terminating

Little11: Actually bhaiya ... question is "" it is terminating decimal or not ?
RaunakRaj: i said the given fraction is non terminating which means when fracttion is converted into decimal then it will be non terminating..

Hello friend

Here goes your answer

For a rational number to be terminating, the denominator needs to have either 2 or 5 or both 2 and 5 as it's prime factors

If the prime factors of the denominator aren't so, then the fraction becames a non terminating repeating one

30=2*3*5

Here the prime factors are of the denominator i.e 30 also includes 3

So the decimal expansion won't be a terminating one

Hope it helps! :)
