Explain why 15g of steam at 100ºC melts more ice than 15g of liquid water at 100ºC?

bcoz steam has more energy than liquid water

Because when water at 100°C converts to steam at 100°C, it absorbs some additional amount of heat without raising it's temperature. This additional amount of Heat energy is termed as Latent Heat energy. This is absent in water as it has only that much amount of heat which is required in raising it's temperature till 100°C. Therefore, steam melts more amount of ice.
