Answer:

A rational number is a number which can be written in the p/q form where p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0.

-2 can be written in the form of p/q i.e. -2/1  where -2 and 1 are integers and 1 is not equal to 0. Therefore we can say that -2 is rational number.

Answer:

Numbers which can be written in the form p/q where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0 are called rational numbers.

-2 = -2/1

Here -2 and 1 are integers and the denominator ≠ 0

Therefore, -2 is rational.

Hope this helps
