Explain why 5*7*11+11 and 5*6*8+8 are composite numbers.

all numbers that are not prime(have no factors other than 1 and the number itself) are composite
Here,5*7*11+11=11(5*7+1)
hence it has two factors(11 and 5*7+1) other than 1 and itself
Hence it is not prime which is composite.
Similarly the second can be explained
