There are two major mistakes in this pair I.e. 8/9&-7/8,but at first we should low about the concept multiplicative inverse.

MULTIPLICATIVE INVERSE:
It is the reciprocal of a particular number such that when the product of the reciprocal and the actual no. should be equals to one.FOR E.G.
(4/5)×(5/3)=1
(-5/2)×(-2/5)=1

Now there are two reasons mainly that :
1. The numbers are not same 8/9 & -7/8
has three various no.s whereas it should have only two different no.s.
2.The sign of the numbers are not same as one is negative ams other is positive.

Therefore now correction.,
The multiple native inverse of -7/8 is -8/7
and now

-7/8×-8×7=1
Therefore 8/9 is not the multiplicative inverse of -7/8.
hope it would have have been clear to you .Don't forget mark as the brainliest .

Step-by-step explanation:

89 is not the multiplicative inverse of −118 − 1 1 8 because the product of 89 and −118 − 1 1 8 is −1 , and it should be 1 to be a multiplicative inverse.
