There is a time difference of about 2 hours between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat. To avoid this time confusion among the states, the longitude passing in the middle of India present in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh has been taken as the Standard Meridian. So that there is unity and no confusion among the states.
