A book has an unpolished surface (it is a non-lustrous object) so when light falls on it the light is reflected back in all the direction and thus we are able to see it from all parts of the room.

it's because the surface of book reflects light in all direction and when reflected rays fall on our eyes and forms image irrespective of our location
