Explain why a perfectly competitive firm has a horizontal demand

bcoz in perfect competition market a firm can't change its price if firm increase the price consumers shift to other firms and if the firm decrease price the firm can't fulfill demand of all consumers so price remains always same . So a perfectly competitive firm has a horizontal demand curve
