explain why a person falling on a cemented floor gets injured but a person falling on a heap of sand is not

because the sand is not get more contract between the particular but in cemented floor is comperestly packed

when an athlete landa from a height on a hard floor he may hurt his feet bwcause his feet come to rest almost instantaneously (i.e, in a very short interval of time), so a very large force exerted by the floor on his feet. on the other hand, when he lands on sans his feet push the sand for some distant, therefore the time duration in which his feet come to rest, increases. as a result, the force exerted on his feet decreases and he is saved from getting hurt
