Answer:

a.)

because Carbohydrates are present in food are broken down to form glucose. This glucose combines with oxygen in the cells of our body and provides energy. This reaction is known as respiration. hence, respiration is considered as an exothermic reaction.

b.)

because the crystallization is which gives them the blue colour. When heated, the water gets evaporated and it loses water of crystallization hence becoming colourless.

Hope it helps you...

Thanks..

Explanation:

(a) respiration is an exothermic process and in the process of respiration, there is a breakdown of glucose molecules resulting in release of energy and some heat energy ,and the reaction which involves release of heat are known as exothermic reactions

(b) when the blue solution of copper sulphate is heated, it's blue color fades away because copper sulphate acquires its blue color only in its aqueous solutions and when the solution is heated it's water content evaporate and thus leading to a lose of color of the solution.
