The density of soap cake is more than the density of water.The upthrust of water on the soap cake is lest than the weight of the soap cake.Hence , it sinks. Soap dish float in the bucket because it has low density thant the cake soap.

the density of the soap case is less thank the density of the water ie1cm³ where as the density of soap is more than the density of the water and it's weight is also more which results in more force of gravity in downward direction.
