is a solid because it has a definite shape and volume and doesnot change its shape unless compressed.

♦Well , the Reason lies in the fact that it shows all other properties of a Solid .
◾It has a fixed shape and Volume .
◾Its inter molecular forces are also strong like solids .
◾The inter molecular spaces are quiet less .
♦If we talk about Compression , although all other solids cannot be Compressed but a sponge can be !! It's just an Exception to the property !
