(a)In an earthen pot, water gets evaporated quickly through the pores. Cooling is caused by evaporation. Some heat energy is utilised during the process of evaporation.
Since this energy is taken from the water itself, it leads to a lowering of temperature in the remaining amount of water.
(b)we prefer to sip hot tea with a saucer rather than a cup because in a saucer the area of badse is more and the hot molecules can form into vapour and cool down the tea easily but in a cup the area of base of it is less and tnhus takes time yo cool down.

a) Water gets cooled in an earthen pot because there are pores present in the earthen pot which helps the water to evaporate and makes it cool.
b) It is easier to sip tea in a saucer rather than a cup because if the surface area would be more, then the cause of evaporation also increases. Increase in surface area, the same will be the increase in evaporation which helps tea to cool down.
