Explanation:
First of all, elements in one group have same number of valence electrons, so similar chemical properties. So, they are either metals or nonmetals.
Secondly all groups don't have metals or nonmetals.
Group 18 has noble gases.
Lastly the element of lower series or peroids may have properties like metals but they are not completely metals. So all the groups dont contain metals and nonmetals but contains elements having few properties silimar to metals or nonmetals....
