       Sodium  sulphate is a salt of strong base(NaOH) and strong acid(H_2SO_4)so,it is neutral.

 Whereas, sodium carbonate is a salt of weak acid(H_2CO_3) and strong base (NaOH),.so,it is basic in nature,.
