sodium Sulphate is formed by strong Acid H₂S0₄ and strong base NaOH and as a result a neutral salt Na₂SO₄ is formed.
2NaOH +H₂SO₄ -------------> Na₂SO₄ + 2H₂O
where as
Sodium carbonate is formed By NaOH[strong base] and weak acid H2CO3 which results in basic salt formation.
2NaOH + H₂CO₃---->Na₂CO₃+2H₂o
2NaOH +H₂SO₄ -------------> Na₂SO₄ + 2H₂O
where as
Sodium carbonate is formed By NaOH[strong base] and weak acid H2CO3 which results in basic salt formation.
2NaOH + H₂CO₃---->Na₂CO₃+2H₂o

Sodium carbonate salt is made of reaction of carbonic acid and sodium hydroxide . on combining the basic character will be more as a week acid can not neutralize a strong base completely . so the salt formed is basic in nature. Sodium sulphate is a neutral salt because it is made from the strong acid and strong base.
