HELLO!!!
It happens so because Iron is more reactive than copper s it displaces copper from copper sulphate solution. That is:
CuSO₄ + Fe ⇒ FeSO₄ +Cu. It is a displacement reaction where one metal is more reactive than the other and so it displaces the other metal which is less reactive.
