Cells make up the smallest level of aliving organism such as yourself and other living things. The cellular level of an organism is where the metabolic processes occur that keep the organism alive. That is why the cell is called the fundamental unit of life.

Here is your answer

Cells are tiny self-contained units, which are the basic building blocks of all living things. Some organisms are just one individual cell, like an amoeba. other organisms, like humans, consists of thousands of billion of cells.

All living things grow and change during their lives. The nucleus of a cell is the cell's control centre and contains the entire organism's genetic information. The cell takes in energy and uses it to develop and reproduce.
