Like his father, Louis Philippe II, Duke of Orléans, he initially supported the French Revolution. However following the deposition and execution of his cousin, KingLouis XVI, Louis Philippe fled the country. ... He was proclaimed king in 1830 after his cousin Charles Xwas forced to abdicate by the July Revolution.

Charles X was known to be the king of France from 16th September 1824 to 2nd august 1830. For most of this lifetime, he was considered as count of Artois.

On the other hand, Louis Philippe I was regarded as the king of France from 1830 to 1848 as leader of orleanist party.

Earlier, he had found it quite necessary to flee france during the time of French revolution to avoid execution and imprisonment.
