Clostridium botulinum is a rod shaped gram positive bacterium. It is toxic in nature. It produces neurotoxins that cause paralysis. C. botulinum forms toxin at the time of spore formation in anaerobic condition. It is normally found in the soil, water or intestine of human and animals. It lies dormant until the favorable condition arrives. This bacterium causes a disease called botulism which may lead to death. To prevent the growth of this bacteria food must be cleaned and boiled for at least 20 minutes. Acidic environment also prevents the growth of bacteria. plz mark brainlest
