Hello buddy

Here we go

Deserts are normally characterized by a cloudless weather. As there are no clouds during daytime sunlight is able to hit the ground throughout the sunshine. Sunlight is not scattered by clouds so the maximum sunlight heats up the deserts in daytime.

While in nights, earth radiate back the heat it assimilated during daytime and the clouds reflect back the radiated heat to earth. Since there are less clouds over desert, earth radiates the heat faster and gets cooled down making the nights colder!

Hope it's helpful for you dear friend

Not all desert get cool and even those that do, can still remain rather balmy during certain time of the year! This is common myth still floating about! Air in desert will indeed off in a rapid fashion if:

(1) There is no cloud cover (even high thin clouds act as a blanket. In many desert you do get rather cloudy Nighy even if there is no rain)

(2) There is no moisture in the air (a given? No! just Tyr place like Kuwait, Dubai and such. They sit in desert at or near the cost, where the sea is at 95 degree in early fall! Lots of moisture. No that is not a dry heat! You can enjoy this short of weather also in Hermosillo, Sonora! Overnight lows of some 95 to 98 degree F in August and dew points in the fifties. High could go usually just into the mid 110s.
