it is because gas has property of fluidity than liquid and molecules of gas has very high energy by which gas move very quickly add liquid has molecules with less energy

mdhadi: thanks bhai

because gas molecules have more kinetic energy and are smaller than liquid molecules. diffusion in liquids is slower because the particles in a liquid move more slowly. it happens faster if the temperature is increased. in liquid, there is less space to move so collisions are more frequent between the molecules causing a slower diffusion rate. there is more space in gases. as a result, there are less collisions between the molecules causing a faster diffusion rate.
