Distilled water doesn’t conduct electricity while tap water conducts electricity because tap water has some salts mixed in it but distilled water is pure

Distilled water is a good insulator because it is a good ionic solvent which allows them to dissolve ionic compounds easily without any hassle.because In it there is no acid and salt and in tap water there is too much acid or salt so that's the reason.
